This iconic symbol is actually the labyrinth on the floor of the Chartres Cathedral, built in Paris around 1200. It is 42 feet in diameter, and pilgrims have come to walk the labyrinth (try this) as a spiritual meditation for hundreds of years The trim pattern on all of these products is taken from actual wall carvings in the Cathedral.
