Circle of Life, founded by Julia Butterfly Hill, operates from a deep belief in the interdependence and interconnection of all life. Our commitment is to transform the way humans interact with the Earth and with all living beings.
Circle of Life is a stand for peace, justice and environmental sustainability; and in that space, we create powerful events and meaningful opportunities for people and organizations to make a difference in the world we share.
HEALING OUR PLANET
...a gathering place of information and inspiration
to heal ourselves and the planet.
Please let me know if there is something you'd like to include.
"Rise and place your hands on your heart. Bow your head to your heart and in doing so, bow your mind, bow your intelligence, bow your ego, to the presence of the Living One, however you understand that within you.
And as you bow your head to your heart, be real about where you and I are at this moment. You and I are in an apocalyptic situation in which the entire world is burning, in which the whole future of humanity is threatened, and in which all of the species are being decimated by our greed and our cruelty.
And so, in bowing the head to the heart, we are doing more than simply enjoying a spiritual moment. We are all crying out silently and in profound pain, in an agony of compassion and in a hunger of spiritual delight, to the Beloved to dwell in us, to come and transform us, to make us wise, to make us authentic, to awaken us, and to give us the power, the grace, the intensity, and the energy to become authentic sacred activists.
"The one hope for the future lies, I believe, in Sacred Activism - the fusion of the deepest spiritual knowledge and passion with clear, wise, radical action in all the arenas of the world, inner and outer.
We have very little time in which to awaken and transform ourselves, to be able to preserve the planet, and to heal the divisions between the powerful and the powerless.
Let us go forward now with firm resolve and profound dedication."

Just watched this inspiring documentary on PBS. We all have the power to protect the environment and impact the quality of life of millions around the world by choosing to buy certified fair trade products, including coffee, chocolate, wood, and much more. One town in England has even declared itself a fair trade town, and 90% of their stores carry certified products.

LIVE EARTH PLEDGE
Take the Pledge...and take action. It's time for us all to wake up.
I PLEDGE:
1. To demand that my country join an international treaty within the next 2 years that cuts global warming pollution by 90% in developed countries and by more than half worldwide in time for the next generation to inherit a healthy earth;
2. To take personal action to help solve the climate crisis by reducing my own CO2 pollution as much as I can and offsetting the rest to become "carbon neutral;"
3. To fight for a moratorium on the construction of any new generating facility that burns coal without the capacity to safely trap and store the CO2;
4. To work for a dramatic increase in the energy efficiency of my home, workplace, school, place of worship, and means of transportation;
5. To fight for laws and policies that expand the use of renewable energy sources and reduce dependence on oil and coal;
6. To plant new trees and to join with others in preserving and protecting forests; and,
7. To buy from businesses and support leaders who share my commitment to solving the climate crisis and building a sustainable, just, and prosperous world for the 21st century.
Leonardo DiCaprio has produced this documentary on global warming, using interviews with over 50 leading scientists, thinkers and leaders who discuss the state of the world and the state of humanity. Many of those interviewed are part of the Bioneers.

Music, Morocco & the Sacred
In this special Link TV presentation, director Stephen Olsson is joined by Charles Gibbs, Executive Director of the United Religions Initiative, to talk about the power of sacred music in this sneak preview of his film Sound of the Soul and series Global Spirit.
SOUND OF THE SOUL is a glorious homage to the remarkable Fez Festival of World Sacred Music in Morocco, which brings together a unique array of musicians from Muslim, Christian and Jewish backgrounds. --All connected through their artistry by profound expressions of love and longing. In a world increasingly polarized by religious conflicts and fundamentalist forces, SOUND OF THE SOUL is a timely and profound experiential journey, reverberating with unity, understanding and most of all, hope.
